En este taller te guiaremos paso a paso para que tu nuevo huertito sea funcional y puedas crecer tus primeras plantitas y alimentos. Ofreceremos el sustrato, semillas y una plántula para que salgas de este taller con un huertito totalmente listo para colocar en tu hogar. También será un gran momento para reconectarnos con la Tierra y aprender de la importancia de los alimentos y el suelo. Cursó la licenciatura en Ciencias de la Tierra y ha desarrollado su formación y experiencia en agricultura urbana en el Colectivo Huerto Azcapo, en la dirección de sustentabilidad de la Alcaldía Álvaro Obregón y en la A.C. OLAK, donde ha trabajado la promoción e implementación de los huertos urbanos como herramientas de educación ambiental, desde el 2016. Ha tomado diversos cursos sobre agricultura urbana y agricultura orgánica impartidos por instancias gubernamentales y organizaciones civiles. Actualmente forma parte del colectivo de agricultura urbana “Huerto Azcapo”, que ha construido un huerto urbano educativo en el norte de la Ciudad de México. Cursó la licenciatura de Biología en la facultad de Ciencias especializándose en ecología de suelos y participando como ponente en congresos nacionales de ecología y entomología con temas relacionados a la dinámica de comunidades descomponedoras y su relación con las poblaciones vegetales. Durante los años 2020 y 2021, trabajó en la dirección de Sustentabilidad de la alcaldía Álvaro Obregón, colaborando en la promoción e implementación de huertos urbanos, además de la organización de talleres de agroecologia. Actualmente forma parte del colectivo Huerto Azcapo donde colabora en un predio al norte de la ciudad, donde continúa promocionando la agricultura urbana sostenible y diversos temas de educación ambiental. En 2016, inició su caminar en talleres de agricultura orgánica con Jairo Restrepo y Nacho Simón, y farmacia viviente en el Instituto Tzapin, Chapingo y en algunas comunidades de México. Estas experiencias las ha venido aplicando en diversas actividades en el colectivo Huerto Azcapo y algunas comunidades. Estudió puericultura a nivel técnico. Se ha formado en talleres de agricultura urbana y cultivo de espirulina en casa en Centro verde Azcapo. Es productora local de espirulina. se dedica a dar pláticas y asesorías de cultivo de espirulina en casa.Actualmente forma parte del colectivo de agricultura urbana “Huerto Azcapo”, que ha construido un huerto urbano educativo en el norte de la Ciudad de México. |
Workshop: Vertical gardening
Can you imagine eating a tomato or carrot that you have grown yourself? This is your chance! We would like to invite you to create a vertical garden using your own hands and reusable materials.
In this workshop we will guide you step by step so that your new garden is functional and it will enable you to grow your first plants and food. We will give you the substrate, seeds and a seedling so that you leave this workshop with a little garden totally ready to place in your home. It will also be a great time to reconnect with the Earth and learn about the importance of food and soil.

The lines of training and work are interest is environmental education in participatory urban processes and work with young people, is a teacher in the subject of Environmental Education, Faculty of Sciences (UNAM)has participated in interdisciplinary projects in the Elaboration of Programs of Management of ravines of the west of the CDMX. Member of the Environmental Educators Network, Mexico City.

Raquel Eugenia Acosta Hernández, Mexico City
She graduated in Earth Sciences and has developed his training and experience in urban agriculture in the Collective Huerto Azcapo, in the sustainability direction of the Mayor’s Office Álvaro Obregón and in the A.C. He studied biology at the Faculty of Sciences specializing in soil ecology and participating as a speaker in national ecology and entomology congresses on topics related to the dynamics of decomposing communities and their relationship with populations vegetable. During the years 2020 and 2021, he worked in the direction of Sustainability of the municipality Álvaro Obregón, collaborating in the promotion and implementation of urban gardens, in addition to organizing agroecological workshops. Currently he is part of the collective Huerto Azcapo where he collaborates in a property in the north of the city, where he continues promoting sustainable urban agriculture and various topics of environmental education.
Rosalba Jiménez Tello, Mexico City

She studied childcare at a technical level. She has trained in workshops of urban agriculture and spirulina cultivation at home in Centro Verde Azcapo. She’s a local spirulina producer. is dedicated to giving talks and advice on spirulina cultivation at home.Currently it is part of the urban agriculture collective «Huerto Azcapo», which has built an educational urban garden in the north of Mexico City.
